Mt. Cheonggyesan, standing on the boundaries between Seoul, Gyeonggi
Province, Seongnam, Euiwang, and Gwacheon Cities, is one of the 2 most popular
mountains in the southem part of the Seoul metropolitan area - the other is Mt.
Gwanaksan to the west, 631m above sea level.
Though the geographical features of
the mountain are gentel, one can see its burly and strong mountain ranges
stretching down to all direction.
Mt. Cheonggyesan can be climbed from various points in Seoul,
Gwacheon, Seongnam, and Euiwang, among which the most popular one is Yetgol
in Seongnam.

Seoul citizens can reach here with ease on a bus passing
through the Gangnam Station (Subway Line 2) and Yangjae Station
(Line 3). The majority of climbers prefer the course starting here up to the fork of
Mokbaedeung through the walley of Eodungol before walking down toward Hyeoleupjae and Yetgol.
